We collect a 50% deposit to confirm your reservation for any weekend date or for stays of 2 days or more. We collect 100% for all one night stays.
As an island destination, we can't easily replace cancellations like mainland hotels. We will refund deposits for cancellations made 14 days or more in advance, less a one-night cancellation fee. There is no refund available for late arrival or early departure. Unfortunately we cannot honor cancellations due to weather.
If you wish to cancel, call the hotel and speak to a live agent. Sending an email is not a cancellation as we can't be responsible for email that goes into spam or is not delivered. Leaving a message on voice mail is not a cancellation. Please, talk to one of us live or we cannot honor the cancellation refund policy.
While we are dog lovers, Hotel Ginger is not equipped to welcome pets. No pets allowed.
All guest rooms are for one or two people only and we must strictly enforce this.There is a $250/night charge for each unauthorized guest and you will be required to check out immediately. We are not appropriate for children under the age of 16.
There is no smoking of anything or any kind allowed on property, including rooms, decks, porches and exit stairs. There is a $350 charge for smoking anywhere on the property and you will be required to check out immediately.

Check-in is 4 pm to 9 pm. Check-out is 10 am. Hotel Ginger has limited lockers for luggage storage. There is a $50/hour charge for checking out after 10 amâ€“our maids will have to turn your room in a flurry.
Damage & lost keys
Charges will be assessed to the credit card on file for any damage you cause to the property including damage to furniture, linens, carpeting, missing items, etc. Lost key fee is $50.
Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 8 am. Guests who disregard staff's request for quiet will be required to check out immediately, at our discretion. Be kind to others, please, while part of the Hotel Ginger community.
Injury or loss
Hotel Ginger is responsible for accidents or injuries to guests, nor for the loss of money, jewelry,or valuables of any kind.
Hotel Ginger retains the right to cancel any reservation that does not adhere to our policies for minimum night stay, an invalid deposit credit card or any other policy.
Peace and Harmony
By entering this facility, each person agrees to abide by all rules of the hotel whether written or implied. As a small property, we insist all guests respect one another and our house rules for harmony.
Entrance constitutes permission for management of the hotel to photograph/video anyone while on the premises and to use those pictures/video for any lawful purpose without written permission or compensation from the individuals.
You agree to be held fully responsible for any and all damages or fees incurred by yourself, anyone in your party or your guests. You authorize payments from your credit card for reservation, store/amenity/activity fees, guest fees, damages or other charges incurred by you, anyone in your party or your guests without further notice. You agree to pay for any fees upon invoice if your credit card is declined. You acknowledge that your room is non-transferrable and for your use alone. You acknowledge that there are no refunds for early departures, no matter the reason and the hotel reserves the right change policies or remove anyone or revoke privileges without further notice or reimbursement.
